What this covers
Some pages on the website load advertising and measurement pixels from Google Ads, Reddit, OpenAI, and Taboola. Those pixels receive device and browser identifiers along with the pages viewed and whether a signup or purchase happened.
The iOS app loads none of them, so there is nothing to opt out of there.
California law calls that a sale or sharing of personal information, and other state laws call it targeted advertising. Opting out stops the pixels from loading at all, so nothing reaches those networks in the first place.
What this does not cover
First-party analytics stay on: Amplitude, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Analytics measurement, which show which screens break and where people get stuck. That data is not used for cross-context advertising and is not sold.
Lesson conversations and course content never go to any advertising network, opted out or not.
Global Privacy Control
A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal is treated as opted out with no toggle needed. Brave and DuckDuckGo send it by default; Firefox has it behind a setting.
Other ways to ask
Email [email protected] to opt out across devices or to exercise any other right described in the privacy policy. Nobody gets a worse product for opting out.
