The short version
We collect what we need to run LearnAI and nothing else. Your courses and conversations are yours, not training data for someone else's model, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.
What we collect
Account info: your email if you sign up (handled by Clerk), or an anonymous learner id if you learn as a guest.
Learning data: the courses you create, your lesson conversations, progress, XP, streaks, and certificates.
Payment info: if you buy credits, Stripe handles card data. We only see the last 4 digits and billing status.
Usage info: basic product telemetry (page views, errors) to keep the service reliable.
What we do with it
Run your lessons: your courses and conversations are the product.
Personalize teaching: your progress shapes what the AI teacher covers next.
Improve reliability: anonymized telemetry and aggregated product analytics.
Communicate: onboarding, billing, and progress emails. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time.
What we never do
Train public foundation models on your data. Ever.
Sell your data. Ever.
Share your lessons or courses with other users, unless you share a course link yourself.
Where data lives
Primary region: US-East.
Subprocessors: Anthropic (model provider), Stripe (payments), Clerk (auth), Resend (transactional email).
Retention and deletion
Accounts and learning data: kept while your account is active.
Deleted content: purged from live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.
To delete everything, email [email protected] from your account email.
Your rights
Access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. GDPR and CCPA requests: [email protected]. We respond within statutory windows.
Changes and contact
Material changes to this policy will be posted here and emailed to active users at least 14 days before taking effect.
